Personal Statements
Call for volunteers to register interest in reviewing personal statements for this year's medical school applicants. Reviews are done remotely in your own time between September and October 10th, using our marking guide and feedback template. Every volunteer gets a certificate of participation.

EMS 300: A doctor in every S1 class
To mark Edinburgh Medical School's 300th anniversary, we're partnering with the school to bring a doctor into every S1 class in Edinburgh's state secondary schools. Each volunteer leads one one-hour session with a single class during a timetabled period. We supply materials, and you're welcome to talk about whatever interests you most in medicine, including your own specialty.

You Can Be A Doctor is looking for committed, enthusiastic individuals to join us as Members or Trustees of our charity. These are voluntary roles that offer the opportunity to contribute to our mission, shape the direction of our work, and be part of a growing community working to level the playing field in medical education.
Our charity is driven by a small, committed team working to break down barriers to medical careers. Whether you're a doctor, medical student, or someone with lived experience of the medical application process, there’s a role for you to help support our mission.
