Join our team - Volunteer Opportunities
Are you passionate about widening access to medicine and promoting social diversity in healthcare? Do you want to support an organisation making real change across Scotland and beyond?

You Can Be A Doctor is looking for committed, enthusiastic individuals to join us as Members or Trustees of our charity. These are voluntary roles that offer the opportunity to contribute to our mission, shape the direction of our work, and be part of a growing community working to level the playing field in medical education.

Our charity is driven by a small, committed team working to break down barriers to medical careers. Whether you're a doctor, medical student, or someone with lived experience of the medical application process, there’s a role for you to help support our mission.
Why volunteer with us?
By joining our team, you’ll directly support future medical students from underrepresented backgrounds. You’ll also gain valuable experience, connect with like-minded peers, and help create a fairer path to medicine in Scotland.
How to apply?
Read the role descriptions below and decide which suits you best! Then apply using the link below and complete the form.

The application window is now open! The closing date is 31st July 2025 and we will aim to contact you within two weeks after reviewing your application. Good luck!
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at board@youcanbeadoctor.co.uk.
